i have returned!!
so i know its been a long long time since i updated, but my schedule and my health have prevented it before this.

yesterday morning my mom and my sister left for europe. they should be gone about three weeks.

im in the process of actively seeking out a new job. but im considering just going to a temp agency. if i could ever get my sleep schedule straightened out, i could get a lot more done.

speaking of sleep schedules, i went to a new doctor for my insomnia. (i finally found a good homeopathic doctor) he found many things wrong with me, including a new problem with my liver and my lymphatic system. fun times. so im on this special diet and all this medication. but my appetite has come back and for the first time in years im not nauseous, even after i eat. which i consider a victory. even though instead of not sleeping i sleep constantly. maybe im just catching up?? who knows. but if he can fix the rest of my problems like he fixed this one, life will be good.

anyway, on to things that arent about me. jonny was in a movie on sunday. a remake of lion in winter. yay for him.

my little friend missy graduated from fifth grade on tuesday. she won fourteen awards. she is the most brilliant child ive ever known. i am so proud of her.

as an aside, troy is possibly the worst movie ever made if you like plot and character development. if you like really pretty boys running around in skirts, when they are wearing clothes at all...then this could be the film for you. however, if you have read the iliad, dont go see it. i think the person who wrote the screenplay (did wolfgang peterson write it too, or did he just direct it?) had never read the iliad. just heard a story about the trojan horse and thought THEY could write it better than homer. it was insane the inaccuracies in that! and dont even get me started about the way people who believed in the gods were portrayed as doddering fools. and the acting! not the best. though peter o'toole was amazing as was sean bean. eric bana was good. orlando bloom was actually better than i thought he would be(although this maybe due to him wearing eyeliner in the opening scene. just wow), but he was still not great. while i like brad pitt as an actor and he looked good in the film, he really cant pull off an epic like this. he doesnt have the charisma or the acting ability. and helen wasnt even the prettiest woman in the film! and WHY did no two people have the same accent? it was just frustrating beyond belief to wait soo long for this movie and then have it be sooo horrible. in conclusion, dont waste your money on it, as its not worth it it and your time would be better served if you just read one of the troy parodys on the internet. that is all.

well its time for me to take more pills so im off.

I saw Shrek 2 the other day but I have yet to see Troy, hubby went to see it while I was in California, but I don't really have any desire to see it and your review kinda put the nail in the pine box for it for me =0)
